23 March 2011 - Uitgelicht op PhotoQ
Mijn portfolio is Uitgelicht op PhotoQ
dinsdag 15 maart 2011
Ilse’s foto’s maken me blij.

01 October 2010 - Fantastische Fotografie
Fantastic Photography - The Rotterdam School, then and now-.
Exhibition Fantastic Photography at CBK Rotterdam will take place from 9 October 2010 - 7 November 2010.
In the eighties Rotterdam played a pioneering role in the field of photography. Several photographers did not define the fixed reality with their camera, but created their own reality. Thus came the 'Rotterdam School' similar to surrealism, to flourish in a city that liked to stand out in a realistic approach. This fall several manifestations around this school will take place at different locations.
The Historical Museum Rotterdam Schielandshuis shows the work of artists, photographers and filmmakers, with the Rotterdam of the eighties as a backdrop. Nederlands Foto Museum has an exhibition of the American Duane Michals, one of the founders of staged photography. Centrum van Beeldende Kunst Rotterdam shows how the Rotterdam School lives on with contemporary artists. Several exhibitors show how they create a romantic and alternative reality today.
Exhibitors at CBK Rotterdam are: Kimberly Clark, Iris van Dongen, Margi Geerlinks, Risk Hazekamp, Maria Ikonomopoulou, Juul Krayer, Ilse Leenders, Desiree Palmen, Schilte & Portielje, Bert Sissingh, Jean Marc Spanish, Marie Cécile Thijs, Lorelinde Verhees, Edwin Zwakman. 16 June 2009 - Djerassi Artist Program
Maurits & Ilse are invited to work at Djerassi Artist Program in Woodside, California from 11 augustus till 10 september.
'The location of Djerassi Artist Program, surrounded by nature, makes us very enthusiastic. Spaces are very important in our photography, so we want to make a photo-series we only can make in the nature of this part of California. This way we want the American influence to appear in our work. During our time in Woodside we plan to produce something unique we can only make on this location. Because of its great natures and less cultivation (compared to the Netherlands) we see a series of images showing the greatness of the American landscape, in which we are posing as very tiny creatures.'
